Equine and Large Animal

No category found ...

Equine and large animal equipment encompasses a wide range of specialized tools, supplies, and instruments used to treat and diagnose large animals, such as horses and cows.

The earliest records of equine and large animal care can be traced back to ancient Egypt. Those people typically treated horses and other large animals with herbal medicines and religious rituals. These early practices were based on observations and trials and weren’t accurate and precise.

However, in the 19th century, with the establishment of the first veterinary school in 1761, new equipment and instruments started to emerge.

Veterinarians like Claude Bourgelat conducted numerous anatomical studies and developed new treatment techniques for large animals. Further, the 19th and 20th centuries saw the development of specialized veterinary equipment, like X-ray machines. These inventions revolutionized veterinary medicine.
